Yesterday in the quiet of our evening meal, Mr. Jonah approached the dining room table with an interesting gift: the removable section of his potty with the golden mixture therein.
Turns out, jonah had crept away silently like a ninja in the night to his potty and performed the deed without assistance or fanfare. This is odd for Jonah because he likes to raise attention and a ruckus when doing the simplest of things. It was a wonderful and amazing moment. I never would of thought that our son peeing solo would bring out such a feeling of pride in us but hey, you take the thrills when you can get them.
As previously reported, jonah had his first successful potty experience a week ago but up to this moment, was requesting the full support of an adult. Needless to say, we we're ecstatic to discover he had taken the initiative. We have heard stories from other parents too and are again very proud that it took him a week to get the concept. Again, this seems like such an odd post to write but in keeping up with the spirit of this blog, I couldn't resist. Just thinking about how embarrassing this post will be for him makes every diaper change worth it.
So let's hear it for Ninja Baby!
