Spoonful

Hello lovely people,

Your probably thinking to yourself, we just don't have enough pictures of that Jonah, right? Well for those of you who just can't get enough, here is an amazing series of shots taken of me just the other day capturing my first ever attempt to feed myself yoghurt. It happened quite naturally enough and was due in part to the fact that during my meals, I like to hold onto this cool silver antique spoon that Nana gave me.

So there I was eating with Dad and I just dipped in my spoon and helped myself.

Don't you just love those 'dairy product' moustaches ?

Happy little one

Hello friends,

Over the long Easter weekend, the folks and I went up to see the Losell family at Grampa Kens in Orillia. Ceremoniously, I was bestowed with birthday wishes from my relatives from a far and given a special birthday Canoli, an Italian delight made of sweet soft cheese wrapped in deep fried pastry. Here is a shot of my utter delight of being yet again, the centre of attention...

In terms of benchmarks, I remain very curious in my new found age of '1' and I'm also starting to stand on my own two feet unassisted for a minute or so. I also do plenty of 'walking', with the help of my plastic walker and I'm cruising liberally around the flat and climbing and exploring all edges and surfaces. I'm well tall enough to reach door knobs and you know what that ultimately means. Open doors.

Advice ( for the young at heart)

Hey folks,

Check out the new look of my blog. Dad and I are slowly figuring out how to make it look all fancy.

Dad found this picture that he took a few years back and thought it was pretty appropriate.

More pictures from my party

Hey everyone,

As you know, my big party was last week and pictures from the various guests are coming into the office of JDB. This week we are featuring pics from Tanya ( one of the lovely Mom's from our pre-natal group)and Uncle Ryan(one of Dad's oldest and dearest friends from highschool)

Here I am in my party outfit, all dressed up for Bay street. If you look closely, you can see the first shot ever taken of my two front teeth.

Here I am in my play-bubble, pondering the mystery of life and getting older.

This one is really cool. I like the effect Tanya got with the streaming daylight.

Finally, a neat shot of Dad and I. We had to make it black and white to accompany the other pic of Mom and I.

Thanks Tanya and Ryan for the pictures.

Video is now working!

Dear friends and family,

Thanks again to everyone who came to the party to make it a smashing success. It was ton's of fun and Jonah enjoyed himself immensly. We are still mystified that none of the children cried. We have heard from other parents that many birthday boys & girls almost always throw a tantrum at their big #1.

We know how lucky we are to have such a cool and laid back son.

Jonah's Birthday, pics and clips, pt 2

On the day of the 'public' celebration and get-together for my birthday, Mom and I posed for this lovely little shot before the guests arrived...

Below is a shot of the party in full swing. It was really hard to get a good picture of everyone and with people coming and going, impossible to get a decent group shot. Needless to say, the party was fun, all the kids played nicely and not a single tear or cry was heard. We all shared great food and had a sing-a-long before cake. It was a major success and we were so happy that everyone could come and celebrate with us.

Jonah's Birthday, pics and clips, pt 1

Hello dear friends and family,

As promised, here are some pics from my 'official' birthday on Feb 28th,

Nana and me....

Mama presents me with my special birthday cupcake...

Despite being full and quite tired, I dig in...

and here I am, drunk on maple syrup and home baked goodness...

My deconstruction of said cake continued for about another 10-15mins. I proceeded to spread the confectionary around my tray and the kitchen floor. It all ended with a bath, some stories and a long, deserved rest.
