Happy 8th Month in Django-land

How could we forget? As of yesterday our little guy turned 8 months young and is slowly climbing the charts to number 1.

This shot was taken at 8 weeks...

This one was taken yesterday...

Thanks for bringing us so many happy days jonah. We love you ya little rascal!

Mom and Dad

You've got to learn how to crawl...before you learn to fly

Hi again,

As you can see, I'm trying with all my strength to crawl...

Apparently my version is called yoga...

What is this thing called the sun salutation anyway?

Party time

Hi again,

It's been a busy couple of weeks around Casa Frankelsell. As I continue to make progress on all fronts, Mom and Dad can barely keep up with me. I am fully mobile and continue to 'drag' myself around the house like a gurgling swiffer. Dad predicts that I'll be crawling by the end of next month. Mom reckons I may by-pass the crawling stage all together as I'm also showing the early signs of 'cruising'.

Two weekends ago, my dear friend Sarita had a tea party to celebrate her upcoming birthday. I want to wish her a belated happy 4th year (as I forgot to call her on the special day ). The pictures below are from the tea party. The W's were most gracious hosts and Mom and Dad helped out with the day by putting together a puppet show.

This is the audience...

Here is the amazing playhouse and stage with the puppets Toby, Rusty and Claire Crocodile doing their thing

I also managed to get in some driving around the yard

Thanks again W's for an awesome day!

The Great Doughnut Trick

It starts with innocent curiosity....

The approach...

The pull down...

Where's Jonah?

The Prunes

In honour of my recent food frenzy, I thought it would be cool to show you all a candid picture of me with prunes on my face. As you all know by now, I'm eating solid foods and prunes are big on the menu to help with the digestion process.

This is a picture of a new toy that Dad got for me recently. It is like a personal gym for infants and it makes wonderful sounds! You can either lie down and play or sit up and go crazy with it. I suppose it will come in handy to help me shed off all the pounds I'm putting on from my constant eating.

Shhhhhhh, I'm Sleeping

In the Car, Car

Hello Everyone,

The picture below is of me in my new Car Seat, another example of how fast I'm growing. Luckily, it does contain me quite well.

With Thanksgiving behind us (Sorry, we didn't get any decent pictures as promised) I have been keeping myself occupied eating carrots, broccoli and prunes, attending play groups and 'dragging' myself around the house. I'm not exactly crawling but I'm certainly mobile. I've overheard Mom and Dad strategizing as to how to contain me in our tiny space but no matter what they do, I will always fight for freedom of mobility.

They will never win, Django must be wild and unleashed, ha ha ha!

Tough Travellers

The other day, Mama, Papa and I went for a lovely walk in the Don Valley to see all the fall colors. Surprisingly, it was rather humid and the temperature reached 30 degrees celsius but we had a great time nonetheless.

Hanging with the gals

Here is a picture of me with my Nigiuq Emily in an Amauti, which is a traditional garment used by the Inuit to carry babies around.

This is my cat Sadie. We like to sit around and count the fur balls and dust bunnies.

Happy Gobble Gobble

We were having technical difficulties last night but...

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Important Announcement

As of this month, daddy has finally got around to helping me adjust the size of new pictures on the blog. So the next time you go to click and view one of them, it won't end up gigantic on your screen. Unfortunately, we would have to spend countless hours we don't have going over the entire blog to fix the others, so we won't bother. From now on you can enjoy my pictures as they were intended, in a reasonable size. Thanks to those who brought this error to our attention.

Jonah :)

Learning to Crawl

Should I?

Could I?

Will I?

Ages and Stages

In an effort to catch up, here are some pictures and stories from the last few weeks.

What can I say. I really love to swing. In fact, I request that Mom and Dad take me to the park at least once a day.

As I mentioned before, I can sit up all by myself now. I don't need ropes, safety nets or pillows to break my fall. Let me tell you, these soft colourful tiles sure do come in handy and make play time so much easier on my tush.

Now this is exciting news. We recently got a "Tough Traveller" back carrier and I have the best seat in the house. Do you know what this means? Oh my gosh, I'm so excited about all the walking and hiking we'll be doing in this thing. Long live Django the Explorer!

Well I hope that makes up for some lost time.
See you all soon.
Love Jonah :)

Road Trip

Greetings,

Please let me apologize for not posting in over 17 days :(
I simply have no idea where the time has gone. Rest assured, we are back on track. Over the past few weeks, I have started eating solid food and I'm sitting upright by myself. I'm also sleeping in my very own room although I still like to wake up every few hours just to keep Mama on her toes.

It was Mama's birthday recently (Sept. 18th). Dad and I got her a spa treatment at a and planned a mystery road trip to Kingston and stayed in a cute B&B in Bath, Ontario. The following are some pictures from that recent trip.

Here we are strolling through a sunny conservation are
