Candid Camera

Ok Ok

So I'm trying to catch you all up on my adventures by posting three times in a row. Here is the final pic of the week (Dad and I taking a self portrait).

I also forgot to tell you all that I'm really starting to 'talk' as well. For the past few weeks, I've been making sounds and noises (not just crying and farting) and Mom and Dad repeat them back to me. Look who's talking now.

Also, I'd likely to quickly say thanks to Aunite Lisa, Uncle Trond and Cousin's Yasmine, Kim and Sophia for the lovely gifts you sent. I love the clothes and toys. I really can't wait to meet all of you this summer!

Pheww! Im exhausted by all this blogging. Take care everyone and I'll see you next Friday for my weekly post.

Love to you all

Warm Fun In The Springtime

Blogsters,

I forgot to add that last weekend the whole family went out for an afternoon feast in Withrow Park. What fun we had in the sunshine! It was surprisingly warm and I enjoyed lying on my back, being at peace with nature. Here are a few pics from that outing.

Head Of The Class

Hello again,

Today is a big day. Not only am I now two months old (as of this past Wednesday) but I am also going to my first Doctor's appointment. That should be fun, right? I hear that I'll be getting stuck with needles and stuff. Oh well, everyone goes through it sooner or later.

This past week has been full of excitement. Last Sunday, I was a guest speaker at my old pre-natal class, I went to my first Salsa Baby class with Mom and I completed my Post-natal class (pictured above) I was voted most likely to play the drums cause I'm always swinging and flailing my arms around.

I am also starting to self-soothe and have this surprising ability to suck my fist and recently, my thumb. (I wonder who I get that habit from ?)

Oh yeah and check out this pic of me and G-raffe, my best buddy. He's my plush pal when I'm sitting in my PAPASAN.

Guy Smiley

Hello lovelies,

Once again, I have to apologize for letting so much time elapse between my postings. The other night, the pics failed to download and then Dad forgot to give me the password. I managed to get one pic up of me reading my new book from Aunite Jo. I was thinking about starting a book club, similar to Oprah. If your interested in joining, email my folks and get your name on the list. Our first book will be the LORAX by Dr. Seuss. I would like everyone to consider the themes that are presented and discuss the issues that this book raises. We have so much to learn from Dr. Seuss.

I want to thank Aunite Jo and Auntie Miriam for the care packages and new clothes you both sent me. I can't wait to meet all the rest of my lovely family and friends in the UK this summer. Speaking of the UK, I'm happy to report that Savta Ruth is back safe and sound in London. I want to personally thank her for all her help, patience, laughter and support during her stay with us. Mommy, Daddy, Sadie and I miss you very much and hope you had a nice visit in Canada.

As you can probably tell, I have been very busy, socializing and touring around my 'hood. Recently, we were all invited to a brunch date with the lovely W's. There is a nice pic of me with Uncle Marty included here and hopefully he'll email those other pics we took (nudge, nudge). I have also been hanging out a lot with mommy, and surprisingly I'm learning to nap during the day. I have also gotten quite good at sleeping 4-5 hours per night (imagine that). Aside from sleeping more, I am becoming quite famous for being a regular guy smiley. As you'll see by the second photo, I am finally getting over my colic and not feeling so fussy.

Well, I should go before I write a novel here. Today, Mom, Dad and I are going to speak to a pre-natal class to talk about my birth story and our experiences as a new family. It is so nice to be given a chance to share our collective wisdom (?) with other parents.

So take good care everyone. I'll do my very best to post more often. For those of you who are having difficulty posting comments, I'm afraid I don't know why that is. Just email my Mom or Dad or give us a call. We are at that point now where visitors are more then welcome to the house and phone calls mean a lot to us. Reach out and touch someone, as they used to say.

LOSELL-A-Thon

Hello Everyone,

On Saturday, the parents, Savta and I went all the way up to Orillia to visit my Grandad Ken and Diane at their new house in the woods. I also had the pleasure of meeting my Great-Grandad Conrad and his lovely partner Beverly. (Thanks for the blanket) I also met Diane's extended family as well. We shared food and sat around the fireplace. It was a fun time indeed and I stole the show.

To the pics: the first is a rare photo of four generations of Losell men; Con, Ken, Daddy and I.
The rest are separate pics of me with the gents, the last is Uncle Craig. I must say they were all a bit shy at first but I melted their hearts pretty quickly.

There are few more photo's to post but I must run some errands first.

Love to you all
Jonah :)

King Of The Road

Hello again,

Yesterday marked a new era in my evolution as a human being.

After an hour of fiddling and swears, Dad finally figured out how to install my fancy care seat yesterday. We missed my first Osteopathic appointment with Jane in Newmarket (sorry Jane) but Dad underestimated the time it would take to install the car seat. He even had to call in the expert help of Uncle Marty to sort the final part out.

The first pic is of me safe, secure and ready for my very first car ride. The second should have a caption reading, "Wait for me!" and the third is of me enjoying the comfort and convenience of my GRACO chair (courtesy of Aunt Donna and Uncle Craig).

The good news is that I absolutely love to travel on the open road and apparently I didn't make a sound the whole time I was buckled in. Considering I was taken out and about to go grocery shopping and for Greek food, that's a huge accomplishment. Dad says he rather have me fussy at home and lovely while we are out. I agree that I'm a social creature at heart and prefer the hustle and bustle of cafes and restaurants. When we get home to the quiet of our little apartment, I get restless.

I'm recovering from a little cold thanks to my Dad. It's all sneezes, mucous and farts around here. Gosh bless Springtime!
Today (Saturday) we are taking a road trip to Orillia to visit my Grandaddy KEN and his lovely partner Diane as well as a slew of new family and friends. This is my first official tour of family duty and I'm excited to meet and greet all my new relatives.
I also can't wait to meet the rest of my Uncles, Aunties and cousins. Be patient people and we'll all get to see each other soon.

Come back and visit the blog on Sunday , where I will post pics of my first Easter!

Happy Long Weekend everyone!

Jonah :)

Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy!

Hello Bloggers-

I wanted to share with you some new photos but have to admit that it is getting harder to post and even harder to write witty comments. To be honest, my Dad is far too busy on Facebook to take an interest in helping me with the blog. Beware all you computer people out there, Facebook is addictive and ruins families.

These pics above are very recent. Mom and I were hanging out the other night and Dad snapped off this gem. The poor lady is still not getting enough sleep. I'm going to hear about this first six weeks for the rest of my life, I know it. Finally after a lot of cuddling, shushing and Cat Steven's music, I slept a record 5+ hours alone in my bassinet last night. Dad even said that he finally slept uninterrupted for the first time in weeks.

The other pics are of my nap time on a retro hand-made blanket care of my lovely Auntie Racheal and Uncle Ry-guy. They are leaving today for Mexico and I wish them a safe and happy trip! I also wish to take a moment to personally thank Judy May Ward, a youth who works with my Dad. She bought me a new outfit and toys for my room. Thanks Judy!

I owe a lot of people thanks and you all know who you are. I really appreciate the cards, support and well wishes. Happy Easter and Passover everyone!

Jonah :)

Smiley Smile

Hello again everybody,

I really have to apologize for being so remiss with my postings. To make up for it, I've posted this pic of me smiling hoping it will bring a bit of sunshine to your day.

My Savta Ruth arrived here safely on Tuesday and as usual the days are going by so fast. It is really nice to have her staying here for a long visit. She has yet to pose for a photo with me but we'll keep trying. I am so grateful for all the lovely clothes she brought from Aunite Jules and Cousin Joe. Thanks so much!

As you saw from the last set of photos, I am learning how to "chill out" and as a result, I'm sleeping in my Bassinet which is still a major adjustment but a lot easier on all of us. The latest developments around here are that I now weigh over 10 pounds and I am over a month old. I'm also starting to learn how to control my facial muscles. Some thought I was just passing gas but I am living proof that it takes less effort to smile then frown!

Anyway, I promise to be more regular (with the postings I mean) and I hope you all have a great weekend!

Talk to you soon and keep those comments coming.

Love Jonah :)
